DELIVERY
DELIVERY (Stoves and Stove Parts only) All deliveries are made by Lorries with tail lift and pallet truck. UK Delivery time (Stoves and Stove Parts only) From receipt of your order the expected delivery date will be approximately 14 days, but this is subject to the manufacturer’s availability. Items not in stock could take longer to deliver and Gloucestershire stove centre cannot be held responsible for any delays by the manufacturer. We do promise to do everything in our power to deliver on time. DELIVERY OF WOOD We appreciate how important it is to know what to expect about delivery before you place your order with us. We have provided answers below to the most common questions we are asked. How quickly will my logs arrive? Orders received before midday are passed to our local transport partners who will collect your order from us the same day. The maximum time taken to deliver your logs will be 3 working days (assuming your order is placed before midday); many of our customers receive their logs in 1 or 2 days. How will I know when my delivery will be? You will then be contacted directly by our transport partners to let you know which day you can expect your delivery and whether it will be in the morning or afternoon. Deliveries are generally made between 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays. How will the firewood be packed? The logs are packed in sacks which are placed in a sturdy pallet crate. The oak blocks are delivered in a bulk bag on a pallet. What happens if the delivery does not turn up when it’s supposed to? When we confirm your order, we’ll provide you with a contact number for our transport partners in case you need to contact them to query the progress of a delivery. Can the pallet be left if I’m not there? Yes, provided you have agreed this in advance and accept responsibility for any loss or damage after the pallet has been delivered. Can we fit in your road? The delivery lorry can be approx the length of 4 cars and be wider and higher than a single decker bus. Where can the pallet be offloaded? The delivery vehicle will be equipped with a tail-lift only. This means that the pallet can only be unloaded onto a hard-standing area, off the highway which the vehicle can easily and safely access. Anything else I need to consider? Please let us know if any of the following apply: - Do you live on a red route?
- Are there any height, width or weight restrictions?
- Are there parking restrictions?
- Will the vehicle require a parking permit?
- Are there any time restrictions?
